I investigated this for work, and bee people should be able to use it as well.

Here is the link to the new $0 co-pay card for epi-pens (which is now electronic).

www.epipen.com/copay-offer

Go to download now, and follow the instructions.

You simply answer two questions about eligibility, then input your name and e-mail address, and why you need an epi-pen (yourself or for someone else). They immediately prepare an electronic coupon for you to print out or save to your computer or device.

There are only two eligibility requirements:
· You must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. resident
· You must have valid commercial insurance (not self-pay or government-funded insurance such as Medicare or Medicaid).

The maximum value of each coupon is $100 per 2-pak carton, up to 3 (3) 2-pak cartons per prescription. The coupons expire 12/31/2016 and you can get unlimited coupons.

It seems pretty easy,

The coupon brought the cost down to $425 for me. We haven't hit our annual deductible yet and the insurance negotiated price is $525. Gotta love it that the employer only has high deductible medical plans.

Dave - I'm in a similar boat as you. I was able to find that there are many generic epinephrine injectors on the market. I don't have the name with me now, but we found one that was much cheaper than epi-pen and had a $100 coupon online. I think I ended up around $225/ 2pack.

If you can find the name of them please post it. I passed on buying them that day.

I'll check tonight at home. I remember passing on the $1400 bill for 2 twin paks when we first switched to an HSA. Before switching to an HSA, I called the pharmacy. She said she couldn't tell me a price without typing in a policy number, but that she couldn't believe I would pay over $60!

I ordered the lineage therapeutics pens at Wegmans today. I used the $100 coupon and that brought it down to $271 for me. They are about $310 with coupon if you don't have insurance. That is a lot better than the $425 after coupon for Epi Pen brand. The pharmacist didn't even need a new prescription to make the change.
