I would like to thank Jim Doan for his informative lecture at last nights meeting. And also thank the members of OFLBA who made this possible, Jim is a wealth of knowledge with many years of experience. I believe that people need to be more aware of pesticides being used around their homes and bee yards. Little is known about the long term effects of using these chemicals, and as long as it is profitable, the corporate giants who promote them will continue to manufacture them. If you are experiencing anything like CCD, or your bees are just not acting normal, queens disappearing etc. , maybe we should take Jim's advice and give Tom Steeger from the EPA a call 703-305-5444. If nobody acts..nothing will be done.
