Bee tree in Rush. Tree will need some limbs cut in order to get the main section out with I believe is already down.

The owner is going to spray the bee's in one weeks time if no one can help.

Own is Paul and can be called @ 585-414-2731

I'll be going to look it this morning and will report what I find out if I decide not to do it. It sounds like it's in a 3' diameter section of fallen trunk resting on the main trunk about 8 feet above the ground.

Success! Did the extraction today. Filled ten frames of a deep and five frames of a super. I wish I had had a second deep because it's mostly all brood. Found the queen and she's a beaut, 'cause they're extra nice bees. Really clean. And docile. I had no problem whatsoever during the cutout or handling them during the comb removal.

I have to say the owners were fantastic, too. They kept me hydrated with ice tea, fed me lunch and made stay for dinner -- grilled shrimp and crab kebobs, salads galore with cheesecake for dessert. Plus a parting gift, just for retrieving the bees.
